As Scorpio shines during the first three weeks of the month, I want to share something neat-o that I learned when researching this sign. The Catโs Paw Nebula, also referred to as the Bear Claw Nebula, is an emission nebula in Scorpius. An emission nebula is formed of ionized gases, most likely from high-energy ultraviolet photons beaming off a nearby hot star, that emit light of various wavelengths.
Fun Fact: The Catโs Paw Nebula is about 50 light-years in diameter, and approximately 5,500 light-years from Earth. Does that seem far away? It is! But lucky for you, we have all da jewelries you could want rockinโ this paw-esome (yeah, I did it) nebula within reach!
There are two stones of significance Iโll mention for the month of November, Turquoise and Citrine. Both of us Yugen gals are super gaga for Turquoise. Its healing properties include dispelling negative energies and protecting the wearer against pollutants in the atmosphere. Another benefit? The ability to balance and align all of the chakras, which helps to stabilize mood swings and promote inner peace.ย
Sagittarius, usually depicted as a centaur holding a bow and arrow, is one of the largest Southern constellations and can be found mixing and mingling within the glorious Milky Way. Fun Fact: The brightest stars in the constellation form an asterism known as the Teapot, so the Milky Way looks like the โsteamโ coming from the spout.
Jupiter is the ruling planet for Sagittarius, which is fortuitous since Jupiter is the planet associated with faith, positivism and optimism. It represents the principle of expansion (versus contraction like Saturn), and the aspirations of the higher self. I could squeal all day about how much I adore Jupiter, and all of the stinkinโ cute Jupiter jewelry we have, but Iโll spare you and just give ya a taste to wet your whistle.
